Making the World a

Better Place

At Lawson Rd Church of Christ in Greece, NY we help individuals and families know God, grow, and make friends, within a diverse community. We share a common passion to express and expand God’s love in our community.

Because of the dramatic difference our faith makes in our lives, we are convinced that God provides answers to all the world’s problems. As we encourage each other to embody the character of God, people around us will also experience the overflow of God’s goodness.

We make every effort to provide a safe, clean environment staffed by caring adults who have all been background checked.

Connect at Lawson Road

There is no limiting what God can do in our lives when we are connected. A great way to do that here is get involved. Each of us thrives on connection. Let’s pursue God together on the journey.

RESCUE:

He brought me out into a spacious place;
he rescued me because he delighted in me.

RECONCILE:

Not only is Jesus serious about crossing boundaries to pursue us, but he’s also equally serious about our crossing boundaries to pursue others.

2024 Church Theme

Making Peace

Life can come at us fast. Our schedules fill up. The news depresses us. Our health restricts us. People disappoint us. Our emotions can overwhelm us.

In this context, Jesus' promise to provide peace addresses a longing many of us share.

While we often think of peace as "an absence of conflict, or turmoil", Jesus prompts us to take a more proactive approach. In the Sermon on the Mount he describes Children of God as "peacemakers". He looks for us to have a role in bringing peace to others.

Our church theme this year explores what it looks like for Christians to carry God's peace with us.

Engaging Community

We seek to find practical ways to demonstrate God's love that make our neighbors' lives a little easier. Some of our efforts include:

- Establishing Northgate Community Garden;

- Supporting local schools;

- Hosting AA meetings;

- Contributing to the Greece food shelf;

- Hosting car washes for local organizations; and,

- Maintaining a “little library” for our neighborhood.
